If you happen to live in an area that even offers Cable TV as an option, you should still take a good look at both, Satellite TV and Cable TV. Be sure and compare the prices as well, before choosing. I have lived in both areas that offer Cable TV and that does NOT offer Cable TV at all. Of course with Satellite TV, anyone can get that no matter where they live in the USA and most other parts of the World as well.
If you happen to live in a big enough City, then you probably have the option of both Cable TV and Satellite TV. However, I have had both and have found several things to be true. First, I have found Cable TV to be more costly than Satellite TV and usually offers way less programming options and chooses. Also, I found Cable TV to be down or out of service way way more than Satellite TV. Sometimes I have had Cable TV to be totally out for more than 24 hours. Satellite TV can loose single once in awhile if there is a very bad storm; but, if you get a really good installer and they get you a good strong signal, then usually you won t loose a signal even if there is a storm.
Here are a couple other things to consider when deciding between Cable TV and Satellite TV. First, if you move, you can t take your Cable TV with you unless you are moving just down the street. However, with Satellite TV, you can take that with you anywhere you move, even if it is out to the country side, up on a mountain top, or on a remote island somewhere, ANYWHERE. Second thing to consider is, if you have a Motor Home, Travel Trailer, or just want to have TV when you are camping, if that you can take your Satellite TV System with you, ANYWHERE. Satellite TV goes anywhere you go and Cable TV does NOT.
Even though your Cell Phone may NOT work in many areas, if you have a Satellite TV System, it will still work, ANYWHERE. And if you can t get a phone line or DSL for an Internet Connection to check your eBay Account, e-mail, and surf, then you can get a Satellite Internet System and connect anywhere. So, if you have a Satellite Internet System, you will be able to check your eBay Account, e-mail and surf, from anywhere.
So, in closing, it seems that Satellite TV wins out over Cable TV in so many areas:
Satellite TV cost less than Cable TV Satellite TV offers better programming choices than Cable TV Satellite TV is mobile and can be taken, ANYWHERE, while Cable TV can NOT Satellite TV is available everywhere in the USA and Cable TV is NOT
